To start with, here's the mandatory eating-ice-cream-at-the-beach photo. What makes kids and ice cream at the beach so irresistible?
Castle-building. Later I taught JC my childhood trick of a "dripping mud castle" (thanks mom), and then had some quiet from him for about an hour.
Our plan to rent a boat and go on an adventure-full fishing escapade was thwarted by the elevated boat rental prices, so we ended up attempting to fish at the pier. Here's JC in a typical fishing pose.

Lastly, a picture I took at a Cracker Barrel in Alabama. I'm thinking about it. So far my back yard includes (as far as I can tell) one raccoon, one rabbit, and lots of squirrels.
