I found out today why people use oven mitts. I used a towel and set it on fire, and then jumped up and down on it for a while to put out the fire, while half-burning my kitchen floor.
The other exciting piece of news is that I have my final Israel visit dates! May 10th through the 19th, with an embassy appointment on the 14th to renew my visa. The plan right now involves a visit to NYC on the 4th for my birthday, staying for my doctoral graduation ceremony on the 8th, then taking off for Israel on the 10th. Perfect. Can't wait to see everybody.
