This is how the day began:
He was in a lot of pain, but the hot towels trick worked for a while. After I got home from work though, and we sat down to watch both Kill Bill films (we made it through to the breaking-out-of-the-coffin scene), the pain had gotten so bad that we went to the ER.
This is how the day ended:
He's been hospitalized. He may have to stay there tomorrow night too. The infection (at the spot where they performed the surgery on Friday) is close to the brain, and they're very serious about stopping it fast. If it doesn't improve quickly enough, they will have to operate.
I just got home. I'll be there tomorrow with him until my 7 PM class (or until they release him).
