My parents looked pretty funny all wrapped up. Especially dad:
The lake was frozen, which is pretty cool. The river was frozen too, in a charming aesthetic Chicago way.
Millenium Park. You can't tell, but it's -2 degrees.
My parents cleaning windows on top of the Hancock building, aka - doing touristy stuff while I hide behind the camera and absolutely refuse to partake.
Our favorite parking building. The cars look like they're about to fall straight out of there and into the street.
The acquarium. We waited in line (outside!) for over an hour. This is my attempt to take a flash-less picture of the sea horse, but it kept moving.
Hugging skinks at the acquarium.
The Cheesecake Factory restaurant ceiling. Mom: "The ceiling looks like a bunch of asses". I liked that.
After stealing wi-fi internet for two days, we discovered the high-speed cable. This is the inside of our room's minibar. yes, the cable is in the minibar, and can be retrieved for a modest sum of money. is that cheap or what?
In spite of the chill, it was a lot of fun. The next couple of days were warmer, even though it only really warmed up once we got back to IC (mom and I) and the temperatures finally climbed above freezing and stayed there.
Gotta run to taste JC's ceviche. Can't wait.

Yes, Chicago can be brutal in the winter. Especially if you are near the lake! Your favorite car park is just across the street from where Eric & I got married! (It is the Marina Towers). Glad you had fun in Chi-town! Sorry we weren't there to show you around. Soon. Give us a year! Stay warm! (it is supposed to hit 50 degrees here today - HA).
looks like you guys had fun despite of the weather. glad you liked it, maybe now you will visit more! sorry we couldn't get together... maybe some other time, when we don't rely on united airlines to take us places. we have a fancy air bed, so you are welcomed any time.
how did you take that picture on the tower??? it's awesome!
They got a little silly set-up up there inside the observatory. You stand inside a glass box it makes it look like you're window-cleaning :)
Alison - I'm starting the countdown... NOW.
